Fix My Ebooks
A while ago Windows XP released a major windows update pack called SP2.
One of the security patches in SP2 has caused most of the PC ebooks to stop working.
There is another ebook problem that existed even before the SP2 upgrade issue.
Some ebooks that were functional in Windows 95/98, give an error "I/O Error
32" when opened in one of Windows NT/2000/XP.
Fortunately the "Fix My Ebooks" software, can repair these problem for
you.
To Correct The SP2 problem
Just run the software, read your ebook, then close the software. Its just that easy.
Fix My Ebooks works by disabling a setting of SP2.
It can be permanently disabled so that you don't have to run Fix My Ebooks, but
disabling that setting could make your computer open to a security threat that can take
advantage of the disabled setting.
To protect you this software will disable the setting only temporarily and enables it
again as soon as the software is closed.
Note: If you have used some other software for fixing your ebook and you are able to
read it without re-running the software then that SP2 setting has been permanently
disabled and you could be open for a possible security threat.
